The Audi e-tron represented a major milestone in the automaker's journey to an electrified future when it launched for the 2019 model year. Audi's battery-powered roster has grown considerably since then, with each model using some variant of the e-tron name. To help make the e-tron lineup more intuitive, beginning with the 2024 model year, Audi is changing the name of its midsize luxury electric crossover to the Audi Q8 e-tron. Along with sharper styling cues in line with the sporty gas-powered Audi Q8, the Q8 e-tron will offer improved performance, faster charging, and increased range.
2024 Audi Q8 e-tron Performance, Range, and Charging
The 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron is motivated by pair of electric motors producing a quattro® all-wheel-driving 355 horsepower and 414 pound-feet of torque. However, selecting "Sport" mode momentarily unlocks 402 horsepower and 490 pound-feet of torque, enabling the midsize SUV to sprint from zero to 60 mph in just ~5.3 seconds.
A larger 106-kWh battery capacity gives the Q8 e-tron an impressive 300 miles of estimated range. And with its upgraded charging capability (up to 170-kW), it can replenish its battery from 10 to 80 percent in ~31 minutes at a compatible station. Level 2 (240-volt) charge times range from 6.5 hours (at 19.2-kW) to 13 hours (at 9.6-kW). Even better, Q8 e-tron buyers will get two years of complimentary DC fast charging on the Electrify America network.

The 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron offers roomy and refined accommodations for five passengers and standard amenities like four-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, a panoramic glass roof, and a hands-free liftgate. Premium Plus and Prestige trims also add three-stage seat ventilation. The high-tech interior also boasts expansive screen real estate, including a configurable Audi virtual cockpit gauge cluster and a dual-touchscreen MMI system with a 10.1-inch infotainment display and an 8.6-inch cabin control display with haptic feedback.
